A Good Fight

Apollo took off his jacket and removed his gloves and shoes. He then began undoing his pants so he could wash them. He was down to his underwear when he got in, washing the blood off of his pants.

Silver finishes washing her wings and sits in a patch of sun to let them dry.

"So what exactly is a fairy?" asked Apollo as he set his pants out to dry and started washing off his body in the stream.

"Well, what I am. We're all very small and we all have wings. We come in lots if shapes and colors and we each have some magic but we never get very strong." says Silver. Her wings were almost dry

"My race are combatants who are good with nature. We have control over all five of the senses in the human body. We also have these rare transformations. We have no affinity in magic. Sadly though, our race has forbidden fighting, though it is in our nature to fight," said Apollo as he sat on the bank of the river in his underwear and layed back.

Silver tried her wings again. She flew up into the air happiely on fluttering wings. She starts zipping around. "Thats much better, I don't like it when I can't fly." says Silver cheerfuly

Apollo watched her and smiled. "Well. I guess you're free to go. I think I'll stay here and relax. The water feels good, and the sun's warmth is relaxing," said Apollo as he layed his feet in the water.

"I'm a bit tired after trying to get away from those creatures, I think I'll rest some first." says Silver landing on a flower nearby. She curls up on it like a bed and falls asleep

Apollo looked over at her and then got all the way in the water. He looked down at the water and watched as he stood still. After an hour, Apollo had a fire started and was cooking twelve fish.

Silver wakes up and sees the fire. She stands up. "I want to help to!" she says flying off. Soon she was flying back struggling to carry a large, ripe blueberry

Apollo laughed and watched her. "You need some help?" he asked as he turned the fish so the other side got some more cooking as well.

"I think I got it." says Silver putting the blueberry on a flat stone nearby. She flies away and soon comes back with another blueberry

After a few minutes, Apollo had the fish out on some trimmed tree bark he used as a plate. He seasoned the fish with blueberry juice and looked at her. "Eat all you like," he said.

Silver looks oddly at the fish, then she picks up one of the smaller blueberries she had brought and starts eating it.

Apollo shrugged, guessing she was a vegitarian and began to eat the fish. Within a few minutes almost all the fish were gone.

"That was good." says Silver having eaten all she wanted. "So I told you what a fairy is, so what are you?" she asks

"I am a Bisutto. My race is fairly unknown here. We came here two years ago from our home, Valor. We are a race that looks just like humans, but we can control our five senses and we do not have any affinity for magic. I'm not sure if we can learn it or not. Our race is supposed to be peaceful. We are forbidden to fight in Valor. But all Bisutto have an urge to fight. So many of us formed a fight club. After I beat the champion, I killed him by accident with an uppercut thrust to under his ribs. His little brother spilled the beans and so we all stowed away on a boat and ended up here. Our kind have come here hunting us, but the only way to stay is to devote ourself to the royal guard. Which I will not do. We have control over all five of our senses. And there is a rumor that under certain circumstances we can become something stronger. We all are born with a beast spirit. Our spirit is in the shape of a birthmark on our body. Mine is a tiger," said Apollo as he turned so she could see the large tiger shaped birthmark on his back.

"Ah tiger!" screams Silver thinking the mark was a real tiger. She flies scared under a mushroom.

Apollo began to laugh. "Wow. My birthmark scared you that bad?" he said as he turned back to face her.

Silver heard him but couldn't see he had turned around. She stayed under the mushroom. "Tigers eat fairies when they can catch them." she hollers still hiding

Apollo laughed again. "Listen. I'm not gunna eat you. I won't eat something like you. You're not prey to me," he said as he stood up and walked to the river edge. The moon was shining high up in the sky.

Silver walks out from under the mushroom. She flies and lands on Apollo's shoulder. "The moon is beautiful tonight. I wonder if the village will have a dance." sighs Silver a bit sadly

"Village?" he asked as he then looked down at the water. Being by the fire so much made him want to swim. But he didn't want to get his clothing wet again.

"The Fairy Village. It's hidden so no one can find it. If a fairy leaves it is very rare they ever find their way back. They often have dances on nights like these." explians Silver still looking at the moon

"Why did you leave?" he asked as he was trying to make a decision. Swim or don't swim.
