Physical Description: Kirin looks like a young boy with slender body build. He is 141 centimeters tall and weights around 42 kilograms. Of course he is still growing as he is only 13 years old. He has quite white skin, Fulminis said that it would stay that way if Kirin would continue using Lightning Dragon Slayer Magic. Kirin has natural blond hair. It sticks up, basically being spiky. He has light blue eyes. Kirin has little longer canine teeth than normal humans since it is common for Dragon Slayers. Clothing: Kirin wears rather simple and common clothing. His first and probably most noticeable thing is his white scarf given to him by Fulminis. It looks like it has scales on it. Moving below he wears a shirt, it has rather short sleeves but isn't completely sleeveless. The upper part of it has 3 buttons, so it has a possibility to unbutton his shirt from above. Kirin also wears blue shorts. The inner part of them is dark blue. Lastly he wears brown boots. He has a brown sheath on his waist where he holds a knife. Accessories: N/A Extra: Kirin has a thunderbolt shaped scar over his right eye given to him by Fulminis when he got really mad over Kirin. He has an artificial eye (the right one). The artificial eye can absorb magic that affects Kirin's eye, so basically he could see trough illusions and such if he would be more experienced with them. Picture:

Personality Kirin isn't the most friendliest type of person. He doesn't go all goody goody with every person he meets. It takes time and personality for him to like a certain someone. He isn't sadistic one though and isn't going to just bully people. He actually doesn't like bullying at all, specially when that is done to a girl. His foster-parent taught him that one should always be kind to a girl. It is rather hard to befriend Kirin as he is rather annoying, always jumping around and asking for a fight with every strong person he meets. If someone should befriend the young boy though he always tries his best to protect them, getting really pissed when someone should hurt them really badly. He is very confident in his abilities and isn't even afraid to take up an S-Class mage, or even a dragon if I might add. Kirin isn't the type to hold a grudge. He will forgive his enemies rather easily, sometimes even saying thanks for battling with him.
Kirin is somewhat annoying to those peace lover beings. He has rather dangerously playful nature as he loves dangerous situations, he finds them extremely thrilling. His most favorite activity is fighting, specially with someone with much higher abilities than his. He doesn't like fighting with weaklings, they actually kinda annoy him. When fighting he doesn't always go out full power at the beginning of a fight. He likes to see how much power his opponent has got and once that discovered out he goes full power. Kirin has a lot of willpower, never laying on the ground when he is knocked down. He doesn't stop fighting until he just can't stand up anymore or when he gets knocked out. He always challenged his opponents head on, thinking that sneak attacks are cowardly thus he never does any... Fulminis gave him pretty good scolding after all.
Although Fulminis raised Kirin since he was a baby young boy sees him as his greatest rival. That isn't meaning that Kirin doesn't love him though, he just wants to beat up the Dragon, mostly because he poked him a lot when he was a child. Although he hides the fact that he loves his foster-father he gets extremely pissed when someone should badmouth a dragon or say they doesn't exist. About his rivalry, Kirin sees each and every person he has lost to as his rival, never accepting defeat and keeping on challenging his opponent till he finally wins one time. During a fight he normally taunts his opponents so they would use their full power more quicker. Kirin prefers one on one fights and it really irritates him when someone should interrupt his fight, specially when someone should come to help him. If his helper should damage his opponent somehow he lets his opponent do the same for him... That is his way. Kirin's dream is to become the most strongest being in the whole universe. That is one of the reasons he actually likes fighting so much, to get stronger. Kirin is very hard working kid when it comes to training. Young kiddo holds rather great potential and strong amount of magical power, he doesn't know how to use it yet though. His foster-father also noticed it but didn't say a word about it, dragon wanted to see how Kirin would develop by himself.

Kirin was born as a child of Dark Mages. His father was quite famous one classified as an S-Rank mage. Kirin's mother in the other hand was A-Rank. Although being Dark Mages they weren't really evil. They were part of one guild but quit after their child's birth, hoping that they would be able to start a normal life and remove their criminal record which included destroying some buildings and killing few people. The guild didn't let them just quit so both of them had to escape. They build a house next to the sea at West Continent. It was rather private area where not many people visited so they somewhat thought they would be safe there, Kirin's mother thought that moving to some island would be safer though.
After about a week the child was born, father naming him Laxus, their family was attacked by the guild they left little while ago. The battle was quite rough and Kirin's father died during it, shielding his wife with body. Kirin's mother was able to finish things off though. She was very sad but knew that she had to keep on moving forward for the child so she stole a ship while carrying his husband's body and child with her. He sailed trough the seas, hoping to find some island which didn't have any people or wasn't discovered. After sailing for about 2 weeks she finally found it one about 3000 kilometers away from Biso Kingdom. It was volcanic island. Kirin's mother anchored the ship there and the first thing she did was that she buried her husband on a little hill where a spectacular view to the sea was available.
After that the family tried to live happy life. The island had it all, food, clear water, nice nature so everything needed for living was there. The things didn't go as planned though... Out of nowhere a dragon appeared on the island, a Lightning Dragon named Fulminis. The dragon had always thought that the island was safe as there were no other ones near it. Fulminis was far too surprised seeing humans there and without a second of thinking he killed Kirin's mother with a single lightning strike, burning her to crisps. He realised it after he had finished off the woman... He didn't feel anything for her though and decided to find a new island for himself when he suddenly heard a cry, it was a cry of a child. The one crying was Kirin. After Fulminis realised that the woman had a child he felt little guilty so he decided to take the child under his care until he was good enough to handle on his own. Although meddling with humans was banned for dragons stories were moving around their race that quite many Dragons had taken someone under their care. Fulminis named the boy Kirin Dreyar.
The Dragon didn't care much about the child. Sometimes he was just poking him with his claw, sometimes he fed him, sometimes he played with him. Over the time Fulminis got little attached to the kid and started teaching him. That was against his ways though so he always hid himself behind a reason that he is only teaching the kid so he would be able to take care of himself quicker. Fulminis started teaching him how to speak. Later when he was older he taught him letters aswell, also about different cultures. Kirin didn't care about cultures much though. Although Fulminis taught Kirin a lot of things his pride got the best of him and he often put up a tough guy act, showing that he doesn't care about young boy and thus he often just poked Kirin around and annoying him. Because of that Kirin developed somewhat challenging personality, wanting to beat up the dragon.
Soon, when Kirin was about 4 years old he became strong enough to find his own food. At first Fulminis offered his help but Kirin always refused it, saying that he would get it himself. Fulminis liked that kind of attitude so he soon stopped offering his help. Kirin was hungry quite often though as the island was pretty wild and a 4 year old trying to handle things there on his own was little tough. Young boy was very stubborn though and never asked for Fulminis' help. Dragon, who had been pretty similar to boy when he was young saw himself in him and decided on one thing, teaching Kirin Lightning Dragon Slayer magic. Fulminis offered to teach it to Kirin. Young boy thought it over and refused his offer saying, "If I am gonna beat ya someday I am gonna use my own power." Fulminis started liking the boy more and more. Over his answer the dragon only smirked and answered, "Yeah Right."
Even though Kirin wanted to learn the magic he didn't want to learn it from Fulminis. He spent most of his time in the forest training his strength. One day he heard noises from the forest though and ran there. He saw Fulminis fighting with a wild animal. Kirin had never seen him do that so he wanted to see how the Dragon was going to finish the battle. For the strange thing Dragon was talking. He was speaking the basics of Lightning Dragon Slayer magic to himself while fighting the animal, using only a little piece of his power. It seemed like he was teaching someone but there was nowhere near the Dragon. Kirin saw a perfect chance in that and was listening Dragon's words very carefully trying to remember them. After the battle was over he secretly went to the forest, trying to master the magic.
At the next morning when the Dragon left their nest again Kirin secretly followed him, hoping that Dragon would fight again and do his stupid speaking during the battle. Once again the thing happened, while Fulminis was fighting he was explaining how he did it. Once again young boy listened to his teaching while hiding and after the battle was over he went to train himself. This started to be everyday routine. It went along two years in a row when Kirin was finally 6 years, around the time when he had finally learned the Dragon Slayer Magic. With a big grin on his face he went to challenge Fulminis being very confident in his skills that he can beat the old fart.
He challenged Fulminis head on. Kirin said to the dragon, "Hehe, you old fart. You are so stupid talking to yourself about how you use your techniques while fighting. I followed you everyday and learned each piece of your magic, it is your time to go and bite the dust." Fulminis only grinned over that, "Are you stupid kid? The only reason I talked was to teach you something... I can smell you kilometers away." Kirin was really mad about that and said, "Only making excuses, Now Die you old fart." Kirin used Lightning Bold, Fulminis took it head on though and it did no damage to him. A single move was all the dragon needed to knock Kirin out, "10000 years too early to face me kiddo, go back in the woods and train your silly body." After his loss he was really mad, going to forest to train himself every day and at nights always challenging the dragon. The fact didn't change that he lost all the times though.
One day, after being defeated about 50 times in a row Kirin tried to beat the dragon while he was sleeping. Fulminis noticed it though and was really mad, "HOW DEAR YOU KID! A TRUE FIGHTER NEVER ATTACKS HIS OPPONENT DURING THEIR SLEEP!" shouted the Dragon out of his rage, not because he was mad but because he waned to rise Kirin correctly and teach him the ways of true mage. He used his magic on Kirin, leaving a thunderbolt shaped scar across his right eye so he would always remember what he did wrong at that day. Although it hurt Kirin a lot he took the pain and survived, for some reason he wasn't mad at Fulminis, rather he was grateful and he noticed his mistake. Kirin got blind from his right eye though. Fulminis felt a little guilty and asked Grandine to create an artificial eye for the kid. Grandine created it and came to see the boy, implanting the eye to him so he could see from Right one again. She did it while Kirin was asleep though so young boy never saw the Sky Dragon.
After the incident of Kirin losing his right eye and gaining artificial one the same events continued, fight after fight. When Kirin was around 7 years old Fulminis disappeared though, he didn't leave a single sign nor note. One day before his disappearance he gifted young boy a scarf though. Kirin was mad and sad at the same time... Mostly sad but hid the feeling with anger saying to himself that he only wanted to beat the dragon and was mad at him since he left. He knew that staying on the island so he used the boat on island. He never actually got to know that his mother had stolen the ship so without knowing nothing about his parents he set sails to the sea.
He mostly sailed the seas, sometimes stopping by the Island to buy food. He is no good at making food so he mostly bought fruits and such so he wouldn't need to do any cooking. While traveling he left his training in ruin though as he mostly enjoyed the sea, wondering where could Fulminis be. When he was 10 years old he decided to start training though. He remembered that fact that he could never beat the Lightning Dragon and that pissed him off. After years of traveling he had reached the Biso Kingdom. He is now 13 years old, wanting to surpass every living being and recognized as the strongest, thus often challenging every strong person he sees.
Magic Name: Lightning Dragon Slayer Magic Magic Tier: 1 Magic Type: Dragon Slayer - Lightning Rank: 2 Magic Description: Kirin is a user of Lightning magic, which allows him to control and make lightning appear from any part of his body. It was taught to him by Fulminis, a Lightning Dragon. The true basis for Kirin's magic is Lightning Dragon Slayer Magic, giving him the power and characteristics of a Lightning Dragon, and can eat lightning to heal himself. He cannot be damaged by lightning. Of course being a user of Lightning Dragon Slayer magic gives him the ability to use Lightning based techniques aswell. Lightning Dragon Slayer magic has a specialty to stun the ones being struck by it. At first they are very weak though. As every Dragon Slayer magic this one is strong enough to fight a dragon, though Kirin is way too weak for that right now.

Thunder Dragon's Roar - 2 Type: Offensive Range: 25 Meters Effect: Lightning version of Dragon's Roar. Kirin generates lightning in his mouth and releases it in a concentrated blast. It isn't powerful enough to kill an opponent with a single blow (yet) but even if the opponent should survive taking a hit by the technique he/she will be paralyzed (1 post) keeping them from escaping his next attack if he should make one.
Lightning Armor - 1 Type: Supportive Range: Self Effect: By wrapping his body in a layer of Lightning, Kirin can electrically stimulate his nervous system and speed up his neural synapses to react faster to danger and push his physical prowess higher, allowing him to gain more raw speed and monstrous power. While using this technique, his reflexes increase aswell. The armor also somewhat increases his defense as his whole body is covered with lightning. In addition, this technique increase his strength. Lightning Armor is rather stamina consuming technique and thus Kirin can't use it in battle for very long, specially when he should make a lot of complex movements.
The technique increase his speed and strength by 5/10th (50%).
Thunder Bolt - 1 Type: Offensive Range: 40 Meters Effect: Kirin points his clenched fist towards the direction where he wants to shoot it and then a bolt of lightning will appear from his hand, moving towards the direction he has pointed his fist with great speed. Unlike his Lightning Dragon's Roar this one isn't powerful enough yet to paralyze his opponent but can still create quite a damage.
